Brooke watched him as she stayed by the fire. She watched how he placed the meat down and didn't touch it. In her mind she was thinking,"Guess he is not hungry." She then looked away from him and over to where she layed at night. Her mind was thinking alot and when she heard him speak, her face quickly came to his direction making contact with his eyes. She listened and then said,"What about love? Surely for someone who is handsome like yourself had to have caught an eye of a woman or a woman caught your eye."
She didn't speak after that only kept her ears open for listening eaither to him or to anything that was making noise around them. She leaned back on her hands as she felt the fire warm her body. She saw it was going down so she went over and picked up a log. She walked back over and placed it on the fire making it grow bigger. She looked seeing the stars in the sky through to tall trees. She then made her way back to him, She thought about earlier today and could sense something was bothering him but didn't want to ask because she knew it was not her place to ask.

ROVANHe licked his lips nervously, and paused. He had avoided that part of her question on purpose. He did not like to talk about Victorie. And it seems as if most females would very much appreciate it when he did not speak of someone that he had previously loved. Well, Rovan knew, if he learned anything about this particular female it was that she was not like the others that he had known.
He did not answer until she was back sitting from getting more wood for the fire, "I used to be with a female, but she had been dead for a long time now." His voice was deep with the tone of finality, he didn't want to talk about her anymore, and he hoped that she realized. He cleared his throat and stared into the fire. ooc//. FAIL POST !

Brooke looked at his expression as he was about to tell her. She saw sadness in his eyes and could feel that it was not going to be good news. When he told her he did have one long ago and told her that she passed away. Brooke dropped her eyes. "I'm sorry for your loss and I'm sorry I asked you. I shouldn't have." She let out a sigh and started to yawn. She was getting sleepy.
"It's getting late and I should be getting to bed. You can stay or go. You have the choice. I had a good time with you Roven." She gave him a small smile and then went over to her place where she slept. She looked at the fire and said,"If you stay there is another log outside the cave and if you go just leave it. It will die down and be gone by morning." She then turned back to where she was going to sleep. She felt like she made him uncomfortable. She didn't want that and she hoped she was mistaken. She sat on her knees and prayed. She then layed down and looked over at him.
She hoped that she made a new friend and hoped that she wasn't scaring him away.

ROVANRovan listened to her reply, but only partly. He was thinking of Victorie mostly, usually once he got started on the thought of her he could't really stop thinking until something bigger took the place of it, which wasn't much at this time. He replied half-heartedly, "Its okay, it's not all that hard to talk about anymore."
He watched Brooke as she turned to let her back face him, going to sleep. He was staring at the ceiling of the cave now, the ridges and the shadows moving around with the flickering of the fire was pleasently distracting to him, especially right now after a discussion about Victorie. He didn't notice Brook looking over at him.

Brooke soon turned around and faced the wall. She closed her eyes and went to sleep. She dreamed about what happened in the middle of the day, meeting Roven, bringing him over to where she lived and having a small conversation with him. She tossed and turned while she slept still hearing the sound of the fire crackling and the night animals roaming the forest.
Earily that next morning, Brooke woke up and slowly got out of her bed. She saw that the fire was out and heard her stomach growl. She walked outside feeling the warmth of the morning sun. She transformed herslef into a cougar and went for a hunt. She saw some deer and went to kill it. But she wasn't the only one who wanted the deer another cougar was near by.
He came over and tried to pick a fight with her. She growled and pawed at him trying to swipe him away. He stayed and seeing that she wasn't going to back down, he raced up and bit her. She hissed and pushed him down clawing at him. He pushed her off and got on top of her grabbing her shoulder and wripping some of the skin. Her shoulder now bloody. She slammed into his gut getting him away from the deer. When he gave up she let out a roar. She then grabbed the deer and pulled him back to the cave. Once she saw the cave, she transformed back into a human. She grabbed the deer and put it over her good shoulder. When she walked into the cave, she placed it by the fire pit and grabbed a hold of her shoulder trying to stop the blood from running down her arm.
