The year? 3003. The place? The only cresent shaped chunk of land left on earth. The foolish humans finally did it. They've done themselves in. Ice caps melted and land was flooded, leaving on this. The Isle of Maraphalia. But, it seems, to the naked eye, that there still seems to be humans left. But the naked eye is often fooled by mere appearences, by, "the cover of the book" if you will. As the sunsets a fight breaks out, two humans, a male and a female. But, surely these humans couldn't possibly be such? The beautiful, wild haired female, with raging black eyes was throwing fire from the palms of her hands, screaming in depsprate, hypnotising rage. The male however, was dodging her attemps easily. He would dissapear and then a second later, be in a different spot. He would smirk as his handsome eyes watched the female fight her winless battle. Humans, Indeed! There is a new breed of humans living, the Maraphalians. They surfaced from the ruins of the wrecked human world. New. And much improved. The male dissapeared again from the fight. But, he did not return. The female howled in rage and quickly with a thrash of her well-muscled arm caught a nearby tree on fire. She knew he was probably on the other side of the island by now. How do I know this, you may ask? Me being, merely a narrater introducing you? I am merely nothing, I am a psychic, a mind-reader, blessed with a rare gift, even for Maraphalians. And right now, I am hiding behind a tree, thanking the Gods that it was not this one that she set on fire. You wouldn't like to be my place, would you? But it comes with the price of entering, can you handle it, human?
I hope you enjoy your time with us, whether it be short or permanent!
The Isle of Maraphalia (IOM) is a brand new Fantasy RPG. We are in need of active players, this is an intermediate to advanced RP, but we are willing to teach anyone. Please join, we do not bite!
Weather: The weather is getting colder all around the islands, but the oceans are still pretty warm from the summer sun, but they will not be like that for long. Qken Mountain on Baramalica Island is already beginning to be capped with frost in the mornings, but it melts durung the day. The nights are cold and the winds sharp on Jhova Island and fires must be watched. The winds are strong on this island because of the open valleys. On Jjesseh, things are still warm, the thick undergrowth sheltering the inhabitants from the chilling weather of the night. On Ayu Island, it gets the coldest at night because it is all mostly open land. The animals that usually come out at night have switched to coming out during the day, because the temperatures are dropping faster than the other islands.

This is the gigantic mountain on the north side of The First Island. It is rocky and the earth is dry and shallow, so not much vegitation grows there. This is where the cougars live, where they prey on rabbits and snakes. But the cougars are prey as well. To the dragons. There are not very many, but if you are strong you can take on one as a pet. It gets rather cold on this tall, tall mountain in the winter and it is usually the only place in the Isle where it snows in the winter.
This is the vast, expanding forest that thats up almost every inch and mile of Baramalica Island. This is where you can find the leopards, tigers, and black panthers. Deer, foxes, rabbits, snakes, bears, and packs of wolves live here as well. But this is also where you may be lucky enough to capture a unicorn. They are plenty here and not rare to catch a glipse of, but are hard to capture. The forests are very dark, even in the middle of the day. The large, thick-growing canopy of the trees block out most of the sun.
This is the thin beach along the south side of the First Island. It really is not a place where Maraphalians go, the animals don't even go here. Its not very big, and the sand is pale and rather rocky. When the sea there is calm, which is not often, you may be able to catch a fish or two from the waves. This is where alot of fights happen, since there is not many people around, it is usually easy to fight and sometimes kill, since no one is watching you.
This is a valley that is near the middle of Jhova Island. Its surrounded by the hills that characterize Jhova's geography. Its protected from the wind so the weather usually isn't too bad. There is not much cover here, just mostly grass, which is why you can't find much of the wild life that thrives on The Second Island. This is place tends to collect water after it rains since it is so below sea level.
This is where the inhabitants of Jhova Island go to drink. Its the only place to get clean drinking water so it is usually pretty crowded. Sometimes there are droughts and fighting can break out, especially between families. The pond is dark blue water, with big koi fish swimming just under the surface. Tall palm trees grow here, the only place on the Isle of Maraphalia, since it is right next to a fresh water pond. You can find a lot of animals here as well, since they ususally come to get water from here, as well.
This is the place near the southern coast of the Second Island. This is also where you find almost all of the animals of the island. This is where people who wish to capture and tame a Snuffler go, they mostly live in the forests where the prey is easy for them to find and eat. These forests are dense and the trees grow closely together, making it hard to see what is going on around you.
These are the cliffs that overlook almost every part of the island, they are all under one name, only to make it easier to talk about them. They are hard to navigate through, because they are all so different and not especially landmarked. This is where you can capture a pegusus or an alicorn, they are extremely hard to find. A few Snufflers can be found her also, as well as the much sought-after Messanger Falcons.
This is the big, blue lake in the middle of the Third Island. It is a great place for swimming when the weather is nice. Many animals live here, like Eagles who like to prey on the fish in the lake. Also water snakes, but they are more scared of you then you of them. It is crystal blue and surrounded by willow trees, giving it a closed off feeling.
This is a dense jungle that is what most of the island of Jjesseh is made up of. This is where the Tigers, Panthers, Leopards, Owls, Snakes, Ghekos, Chameleons, and millions of bird dwell. Also, smaller dragons live here as well, they are easier to capture and train than the ones that live on Baramalica Island. Also, there are unicorns in this jungle, though they are very, very rare. Also, the Makiska dwells within the forests. Beware, and be cautious.
This is a place where the trees just did not manage to grow. It is clear and the grass also doesn't grow well here. Animals avoid here, although sometimes a bird flies over or a reptile comes out to sun itself. This is where Maraphalians come to have important meetings and things of that nature. There is usually no fighting here, it is a peaceful place.
These are the only beaches around the Isle of Maraphalia that people go to. The sand is soft and nice to lay on, the sun always shines here. In the right light, the minerals in the sand catch the light and make it look like it is glimmering.
These are the woods of the Fourth Island. They are thin-growing and do not offer as much cover as the forests on the other three islands. They are home to animals like squirrels, weasles, and rabbits. Griffins also live here, and deer hide from predators. Leopards stalk through the trees and tge Gormats make their burrows here as well. The ground is hard and warm, people like to sleep here.
This is what most of Aye Island is made of. The sun beats down here, even in the winter, so Maraphalians mostly avoid it. Cheetahs are the main predators here, they hunt the gazelles, as well as the people do. Horses make their herds here and you can find the Theku familes underground. Pheonixes sometimes soar overhead, this is the only place that they can live, being everywhere else gets very cold. Not much food grows on the plains, mainly just tall grasses.
This is the orchard that grows here on Ayu Island. This is very surprising, since this Island is pretty barren in most places. It is full of all kinds of good fruit and birds come here to eat year-round, as do the Maraphalians.
